The second phase of a major redevelopment of Canning Town by Bouygues Development.
Shockledge were appointed to produce the strucural design for the three residential towers; the tallest reaching 18 stories. The towers are constructed in a reinforced concrete frame using a construction system developed by Bouygues. The system utilises more of the internal walls than a traditional frame for support to produce a structurally efficient solution.
The project is classified as BIM level 2, with all consultants working in Revit and coordinating using shared models and clash detection. We worked closely with the design team on this project to develop new systems for monitoring changes within the model for service penetrations.
