BURLINGTON JUNIOR SCHOOL

Shockledge were appointed by the Royal Borough of Kingston as structural and civil engineers from RIBA stage 2 & 3 for the Burlington Junior School expansion. The existing accommodation is to be increased from 450 pupils to 600 pupils forming a 5 Form Entry School.

To achieve this a new 3 storey teaching block is to be erected: creating 15 classrooms, an atrium with teaching areas, 2 small group areas at first & second floors, a main dining hall, an adjoining sports hall and outdoor terrace area. Proposed improvements across the school site includes the creation of new external sports areas, MUGA pitches, a new playground and increased parking facilities.

The project is currently on site with Morgan Sindall, who novated Shockledge for Stages 4 & 5.
